Save the Date, May 31: Democratic Asian Americans to host Annual AANHPI Heritage Month Celebration & Awards Dinner
Democratic Asian Americans of Virginia
Democratic Asian Americans of Virginia (DAAV) is the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) caucus of the Democratic Party of Virginia (DPVA). AAPI communities have recently served as the margin of victory for Democrats in Virginia, tipping the scales in favor of candidates throughout the Commonwealth. In 2025, our work supported statewide momentum for the party, culminating in 80% support for Democratic candidates among AAPI voters.

DAAV's mission is to promote the interests of Asian Americans in support of the Democratic Party. Our activities include voter registration, education, outreach, recruitment of members of local Democratic Committees and endorsement of candidates for political office.
We educate Virginians on the importance of getting involved in the political process at every level. We provide education on topics of interest to AAPI communities. We also provide voter registration and election information.
DAAV team works to make a difference in the civic life of one's community and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make that difference. We participate in festivals to educate our community members.
GOTV: Get-Out-the-Vote is one of our crucial missions in mobilizing the community to vote. We work by canvassing and phone banking for many of our VA candidates.
