Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman Lamont Bagby
A lifelong Virginian, Lamont Bagby has served the very community that raised him as a member of the Henrico County School Board and the Virginia House of Delegates. Currently, Bagby serves in the Senate of Virginia.
Bagby has worked tirelessly to champion legislation focused on stopping the school-to-prison pipeline, creating affordable housing, criminal justice reforms, voting rights, environmental justice, consumer protections, and more.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University and a Master of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a recipient of honorary doctoral degrees from Norfolk State University and Virginia Union University. Senator Bagby is married to Jevata Herman Bagby and has three adult children.
