State Senator Ghazala Hashmi
Hashmi is an Indian-born American politician and former academic administrator and educator. A Democrat, Hashmi represents the 15th district in the Senate of Virginia; she is the first Muslim woman elected to the body. She worked as an educator and academic administrator for 25 years before shifting to politics.

State Delegate Kathy Tran
Kathy Tran was born in Vietnam. She and her parents fled as boat refugees when she was seven months old. Delegate Kathy Tran has represented the 18th House of Delegates district since 2018.
Tran and Kelly Fowler were the first Asian-American women to be elected to Virginia's House of Delegates in November 2017. She is the first Vietnamese American elected official on any level in the Commonwealth.

State Senator Suhas Subramanayam
A Democrat, he is a member of the Virginia State Senate representing the 32nd district.
Suhas has dedicated his life to serving his community and solving some of our country’s biggest challenges. His family's story in America began in 1979, when Suhas’s mother, a native of Bengaluru, India, immigrated to the United States. She landed in Dulles Airport to start a new life where she could become a physician and raise a family.

State Delegate Irene Shin
Irene is the daughter of Korean immigrants, and was raised in Burbank, California. Her father is a small business owner, and her mother is a homemaker and a home caretaker for those with health problems who require assistance to live independently.
Irene’s family story is similar to many in the 86th District. She went to a state university on a scholarship and paid her way through college by waiting tables.
Irene Shin was elected as a State Delegate to represent the 8th District in November 2021.
Ingrid Morroy
Ingrid Morroy was elected Arlington Commissioner of Revenue in November 2003, and took office on January 1, 2004. She is a Certified Master Commissioner of Revenue, and a graduate of Leadership Arlington. Born in Holland and raised in Suriname (South America), Ingrid speaks six languages, including Spanish.

Pradip Dhakal
Pradip Dhakal is serving his second term on the Herndon Town Council. He serves on the Inter-Jurisdictional Committee with Fairfax and Loudoun counties; and on the town’s Interview Subcommittee, to recommend appointments to boards and commissions. He also serves as the town’s representative on the Dulles Area Transportation Association (DATA) and Fairfax County Economic Advisory Commission.

Atoosa Reaser is the School Board Member for Algonkian District in Loudoun.
